We have been introduced to division process during childhood Arithmetic classes. Division process involves two numbers (known as the dividend and the divisor). The result of the division operation is another number called the quotient. For example, when 25 (dividend) is divided by 4 (divisor), the result is 6.25 (quotient). When two positive integers are divided then we can also get a remainder apart from the quotient.

[math]\displaystyle{ Dividend = Divisor \times Quotient + Remainder }[/math]
